SOHSA Members Meeting focusing on Managing Occupational Road Risk to be held on the 12 May 2009. This meeting seminar will be held at Tapton Hall, Sheffield, and will commence at 2pm and will finish at around 4pm - followed by tea/coffee and a friendly networking session - a great opportunity to meet likeminded safety professionals and exchange ideas.

Guest Speaker - David Carter

David Carter holds the ADI qualification and Fleet driver training qualification/registration, “Safed for vans” training qualification together with the advanced driving and instructional qualifications (RoSPA Diploma) and now runs his own MORR consultancy, driver assessment, training and development business.
The presentation is an overview of the following:

  • The regulatory, legal background to MORR;
  • The opportunity for lower fleet costs and compliance;
  • Assessing risks posed to a business by its drivers, vehicles and operations;
  • Managing, reducing and eliminating those risks;
  • The driver training and development industry and courses on offer;
  • The part we play in this locally and nationally.
