We have large racking in our warehouse - capable of holding multiple pallets of up to 2 tonnes each.

Could anyone point me in the right direction as to what regulations apply and what, if any, inspection requirements apply?

There is some useful HSE guidance material available - "Warehousing and storage: Keep it safe", which is publication HSG76, and also priced guidance publication HSG76 "Warehousing and storage: A guide to health and safety".

The HSE have also published a useful case-study regarding goods storage:
http://www.hse.gov.uk/falls/casestudies/storage.htm

There is also a Code of Practice for the Use of Static Racking (priced publication) available from SEMA, the Storage Equipment Manufactures Association:
http://www.sema.org.uk/guides.asp

I hope this information gets you started. Smile

Regards,

Phil
