Hi

The EMF directive is back on the agenda. Particular issues that have been raised are

High Power 3 Phase resistance welding

Lets get together at the next meeting with Tracey. EMF is one of those very interesting topics that we need to know all the implications about. If we are not careful we could end up with a directive that could keep companies tied up in courts for years.

Don't forget you folks out there next meeting

13th Septembeer

And just to let you know Ali is one of our guest speakers at the conference

11th October

Now I'll stick to the thread - sorry

M

Alison,

Would love to hear more about the directive - have to admit this was one I was following, but with all the delays and pressing matters under different areas (REACH in particular) it has been left on the back-burner.

I remember the original draft had the potential to encapture much more than was originally intended - especially control panels on lower risk equipment (is this correct).

Any summary or overview you'd like to add here would be of great interest (to a fair few of us I suspect).

Welcome to the association and the forum - great to see you posting and getting involved!

All the best,

Phil
