Hi there
I am hoping someone out there can clarify for me how often fire drills need to be performed. As I understand it, from the fire guidance, that fire drills need to be performed at least annually or maybe more often dependent on the fire risk assessment, but today someone has advised a company that they need to do fire drills at least 4 times a year in line with new laws. I am not aware of this but it may be something that has passed me by. Please could someone confirm if this is correct or not!
In anticipation.
Tracey

Hi Tracey, I though that it was every 6 months. But of course entirely dependent on your local circumstances. ie petro-chemicals or outdoor centre on the side of a mountain!

Thanks for this Chris.
As it is for an office environment 6 monthly drills sound ok to me.

As far as I am aware, the "default" is every 6 months but as has already been recognised, the frequency is dependant on the circumstances of the workplace.
