Description:

Every week approximately 8 joiners, 6 electricians and 4 plumbers die from asbestos-related diseases. Asbestos is a hidden killer and, contrary to popular belief, could be found in any building built or refurbished before the year 2000. The HSE Asbestos the Hidden Killer campaign aims to raise awareness of the risks of asbestos and reduce future exposure by informing all people of appropriate precautions, common locations and the correct way to handle asbestos containing materials - most of all to stop and check before commencing any works where asbestos may be situation.
