Offshore injury rates fall to lowest recorded levels

For the second year running, no workers died last year while working in the HSE-regulated offshore oil and gas industry. Final figures show that in 2008-09 the combined fatal and major injury rate fell to its lowest level since the HSE began regulating the sector.
